Well Nostradamus wrote his prophecies in a code like form not plainly, simply because all sorts of people during the renaissance and the middle ages were being burned at the stake seers, magicians etc. were among those, the church made some terrible decisions and Nostradamus feared that he would be burned if he wrote his prophecies out plainly only Cesar his son knew the code apparently that's why they are open to such intrepretation.
