If the priest were to say, raise him as a muslim, that would be like a Chrysler dealer telling you to buy a Ford. The priest can say whatever he wants. I was baptized. I went to church. I went to Sunday School. I went to CCD. I am not a believer in god. Unless your parents brainwash you, you can choose on your own. I was fed the propaganda, but I rejected it eventually, early in high school. There is nothing wrong in suggesting a religion for a child. Its when the religion is subjected to the child or else... that is the problem.
