On Baptism...

I went to a baptism for my baby cousin Sunday, only for the sake of my family not getting mad at me. Father Phil told the parents they were *obligated* to raise their child as a Catholic. That angered me, because in essence they agreed to force their child into a religion - a decision I think he should partake on his own.

Then, the whole idea of the baptism "freeing the child's sould of sin" so Jesus would accept him. Oi, this original sin thing. Another pet peeve of mine. hehe so what do you guys think of this whole thing?
