he was more concerned with getting his soul back than the advancement of science; and popular recognition he was too ashamed to have been fooled without bringing a heap more trouble on himself with publication. If more people believe goodness, YEAH, THAT's good. He didn't want anyone else as miserable as he, so he was not recruiting.
