If it's not us, it might be another tool of nature to impose the "balance". Another iridium layer? Like the way of nature, evolution is essential. Should we approve of making of ourselves another iridium layer and thus approve of an evolution of which we are NOT a part? When we are aware of a plausible opportunity to circumnavigate this entire Universe in a single lifetime? Mankind has the opportunity to evolve to a state of consciousness equal even unto God, by learning ALL there is to KNOW in this Universe, His Creation. God has nothing to hide. Might that not be worth the effort to refrain from making of ourselves another iridium layer.
