Tis the season to depart from the old and worn, with the hypothesis that whatever energies were required to effect the present situations are not necessarily the same as those required for a successful future of good progress and constructive applications.

Is that a scientific enough way to wish everyone happy holidays? Oh, but wait, a scientific question, out of fairness to this forum!

How much energy would it require to redirect the inertia/momentum from an individual's current path to one that,in realization of that newfound liberty, releases a person from previous burdens?
