Regression Is More Plausible?

YIPES! Then there would be no animals left if there was no room for improvement of the animals. The population would have died off because they became too regressed. Besides, though, if one species regressed, another species would adapt and become greater as it took advantage of the regressed species.
What do you base your ideas on? Anything you can find on the internet?
