Genesis only is a hebrew myth I think there probably was a Cane(Cananites) and Abel and maybe even an Adam and Eve but they were by no means the first people because people had to evolve from chimpanzees, to bonobos to neanderthals to cromangons.As for creation the Big bang did that and life evolved slowly from the first life in the sea to the dinosaurs to the first mammals etc. how does the Old Testament answer this one eh I think certain stories could be true though Noah's ark for instance the plate tectonics of the time studied by geologists showed that there were floods in the middle east that time but it wasn't the whole world and noah could not have taken every animal.There is confusion in religion when it comes to this.
