Could it perhaps be that humans are the ones who question IF they are of value, IF someone cares? I wonder if trees ponder at all, or if they care, or if they rest assured, for that matter. I believe the bible where it says 'you are worth far more than two sparrows', if god takes care of them. Certainly, the earth wouldn't suffer if there were no humans, but not vice versa! and while our existence probably has little/no bearing on the astronomical goings on, we have discovered sunspots affect US. if you've ever been by yourself, seen a beautiful bird or sunset, and WISHED there was someone to show it to, share the experience, then i'm sure you understand why a person matters. we're made with the power of choice, angels were made for service. isn't the one who chooses our company of greater fun to us than one who wishes to be elsewhere? interesting. |
