: The scripture I am refering to is Hindu, not Christian. The Christian cosmology as found in Genesis essentially supports evolution on Earth and says little about the origin of the universe. Genesis is consistent with the scientific rendition of evolution provided days 3 & 4 are interchanged. That is, science claims that stars, galaxies and the sun came into existence before oceans and plants. Those who believe in the literal interpetation of the Hebrew bible have difficulty explaining how plants grew without sunlight. |
