Of course God wants us to use our minds. He expects us to use the gifts he's given us. However, that doesn't mean we should "create" our own Gods in our own imagination. Our amazing ability to think/reason does not mean that we can imagine our own vision of who God is, then treat that as truth.

God is revealed to us in many ways. In creation, in scripture, and in our hearts when we search them.

I don't expect to change your mind in a forum, but keep an open mind. Please.
