Is God Really Perfect?

The basis for which christians believe god is perfect that I am questioning them on. God wants glory! Pride according to god is a deadly sin. These contradict each other. Therefore one must be wrong. Only 100% is perfect. If one thing is wrong, then perfection has not been met.
