Moses and Monotheisism is a book by Sigmund Freud that goes into the origins of religion. As far as you are concerned, I think the first couple of chapters will give you the info about how religion came about through totemism and the killing of the tribal father. May not agree with Sigmund's conclusions, though he is favorable with you, but it will give you an alternative look into how religion started and the psychology of it. I think this book may become a holy book in a couple of thousand years, but the world isn't ready for his conclusions yet. Its a cheap book, I really recommend it. |
