THE LONG:
Are you actually trying to say that you are going to live forever on this planet?
Do you actually think you're human body will never die?
What about all those other nice christians who have died in the history of the human race?
Yes, Chosen we will ALL die, physically. Just like ants who aren't taken care of in their antfarm. This earth will die in under 500,000 years, this universe will die in under 15 billion years, according to current data.
BUT, God will undoubtably end it all before that, then remake it for the millenial reign.
Spirits (human and otherwise) are eternal, but our physical bodies are NOT. Nothing in or of this universe can or WILL last forever.
Tell me, how many of your great great grandparents are still alive right now? How many of them are still young enough to have never begun to die (which starts at around age 30)? How many dead have YOU raised?
The only way any of that could possibly happen is via direct influence by God. You notice, none of christ's diciples could do any of those things before christ gave them the ability. You also notice, those diciples are dead now. Their spirits are still "alive", but they're long dead from this universe.
THE SHORT:
Spirits live forever, physical bodies die. That's the way it works. You can't raise the dead, only God, and when allowed, Satan can (Read revalation for an example of Satan raising the dead). Nowhere in the bible does it say that you or I or any human will be able to do such a thing. No human can, by himself, heal the sick. No human can live forever, physically. |
