I think what you mean is that science is the study of God; else you believe that science is some sort of entity which exists in the universe and which we study bit by bit. Lots of people are confused on this subject: Science is simply a way of thinking, it could be summed as skeptical curiosity. That is, you don't believe any explanation at face value, and you have the drive to seek an answer that will fit your observations and pre-established laws of physics. Science has showed that the universe appears to behave in an orderly and rational manner, a manner that we can understand. Why the universe is orderly and why we can understand that orderness is a question that we will NEVER be able to answer with any confidence, without of course resorting to the belief in some form of god. And that is all right, as long as you don't dilute yourself in that belief. To believe that the planet and the sun and all the universe were created FOR our existence is more self-worship than anything. You are placing yourself at a central, god-like position in the universe with this belief. The idea of God is an invention of the human mind, a fairly recent spectacle in the history of human evolution and especially of the universe. Science too is an invention of the human mind, but it has been with us longer than God. The belief in God PRESUMES His existence. The act of Science presumes nothing.
