It`s science that brought me back into a belief in a supernatural existence. It took a PhD in physics from Harvard plus decades of work in science before I came to that realization. But science did not tell me that it was a higher power, it seemed more like a shared power. For example, Mary said she needed our prayers to convert Russia.

But lately the coincidences in my life are bacoming overwhelming. And frankly it boggles my mind to think that there is some kind of power, perhaps my own higher self in concert with others, that has some control over my environment. I still have the freedom to make correct or incorrect choices. But the environment I`m emmersed in seems to be constantly bringing me to the point of making these choices.

So for me the belief in a higher power does come from the environment, but not from my parents who were athiests.
