I see Hitler as a last vestage of the operation of evolution. Hitler saw himself that way as well and used it to justify his actions, i.e., survival of the fittest. Turns out that he was not so fit afterall. His nation was, but his own mistakes brought him down.

So regarding god, apparently god allowed evolution- survival of the fittest to run its course until and even after higher consciousness(OURS) was developed. But now its time to end evolution based on survival of the molst powerful and institute survival of the peaceful. I think that was and is one of the principal messages of Jesus.
