As covered in this forum some time ago, the Big Bang is predicted in the Koran long before Einstein refused to predict it, even though his equations pointed it out. He instead invented the Cosmological Constant to obtain an infinite in time and space stable universe.

But now we find that science needs that constant, but with an opposite sign, to get agreement with astronomical observations.

Regarding scriptural prediction, I agree that the predictions require rather flexible interpretation. But given that, we find that the Rig Veda predicted the quark, the Jewish Book of Creation predicts the dimensionality of superstring theory rather explicitly, Hindu Shiavism predicts dark matter and Genesis predicts evolution. Is this all coincidence?
