You are correct Jesus did not speak English. Of course, the Bible has been translated/transliterated. Does this disqualify it as a source of Absolute Truth? However, it is a fact that the 100 or so phrophecies that are/were contained in the Hebrew Bible were written prior to the existence of the "Son of Man", and have been corraborated by the Dead Sea Scrolls. He was to born of a virgin, in Bethelehem. He would come through the lineage of David. He would die on a cross. We would be healed by His stripes. He would be seed of a woman. He would be rejected by His own people. Why have the Orthodox Jews rejected their own Redeemer, The Holy One Of Israel, that was prophecised in their own Holy scripture? Is it because they seek to fulfill their own prophecy? Are they conspiring with the fundamentalist Christions to prop of the New Testament. Or is because the Bible the inerrant Word of God? |
