Steve, by your various posts here on the forum, I assume you are religious i.e. you have "faith" of some sort. The very definition of `faith` is: "Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence." Consult a dictionary.
It is odd, therefore, that you dispute Astrofred`s belief (or "faith," if you will) that extra- terrestrial life exists because there is "no evidence that this is true."
I do not wish to be rude, but you are condemning him for having faith in something that has not been scientifically proven, while you yourself have faith in God, who has not been scientifically proven...
"I must be missing some important data concerning life on other planets" you stated... well, please show me some important data concerning God existing and we`ll call it even
