Jesus said He was God. He said, "I and my Father are one". When He siad that, the Jewish leaders were ready to stone Him for blasphmy. They understood very well what He was saying. He backed up what He was saying by the miracles He performed and by coming back from the dead. If He was not God Himself, He would have to be either a liar or a lunatic because of His claim to deity. If He was either of those things (being just a man), He has hoodwinked millions of people for 20 centuries. But, I think not. You need to meet God Himself in the person of Jesus Christ.
