Perception is a funny thing. Sometime ago I was golfing when a thunderstorm brewed-up. It started-out simply as a dark cloud in the west, but in time, thunder and lightning was clammering over our heads. As it turned-out, I was the only one in our foursome who quit [14th hole] and retreated to the clubhouse. Setting aside for the moment, my apparent cowardice, one may ask what drove me to the club-house whilst my partners chose to stick-it out? It was the perception of myself in that particular situation. In my eyes, at some point between the 13th and 14th hole, I percieved that I ceased to be a golfer and had become a human lightning-rod. I believe that was the truth, in that situation. I don`t know how you percieve me. I would suspect it would be along the lines of a closed-minded religious bigot. To that I would submit, that before I came to be where I stand spiritually, I had to open my mind, or more importantly, my heart. This only leaves God`s perception of the two of us. To that I would say, He sees one beggar, showing another beggar, where he found the Bread of Life. Though I have enjoyed our tit-for-tat down through the months, I will have you know that you and Philo, Mr. Lake, Yanniru and others have been in my prayers. I pray that you will see the True Light of Christ, in your Hearts. I pray that your eyes will be opened to your need of redemption through His Blood. It is only when we see Jesus, that we truly see our need. I pray to God, that my ministry is not in vain. |
