My idea is that The big bang is the beginning of the universe, which means it was the beginning of the shaping of dimensions (time included).
Perhaps You often hear that the paradise is eternal. It`s not just a story. Think about it... Eternal means unlimited, meaning no-time.
So the eternal place is not in the universe.
