If you were all-powerful such as God, would you want to create boring, uninteresting things? That is why God gave his angels and men free will. We are interesting creatures able to think and react and choose and do and not do as we please. Satan, Lucifer, also was created with free will because God did not want to surround himself with automatons. He wanted interaction with His creations, thus, as I said free will was given. Lucifer was once the Angel of Light and one of the most beautiful of God`s creations. He chose to turn away from God just as you have chosen to turn away. God does not have to beg you to believe in Him. He merely gives you the Word and it is up to you to believe. From what you are saying, I have to believe that you are not well acquainted with the Word. Read it for yourself and ask God to help you understand and you will then have a good basis on which to believe or not believe.
