Not until that turning point of 66 B.C.( the Jewish wars, the division of James and Paul, Rome), Christianity was merely a reformation of the Judaism. After that year, a strong effort to distinguish a difference between the two religion have become apparent. Eventually the 10 commandments was subjected to poprietary embelishments by the two evolving establishments. Remember history was written by politics, power, and the winners or survivors. Unless you investigate it openly and without any underlying interest or judgement, history (from any account) is tainted...science included.
