By the way, the righteous did what they did because they were imprisoned within the artifice of thier belief systems. The poor buggers believed that those things were facts, and, armed with such holy axioms, they did all manner of ridiculous and senseless things. When they acted solely from thier hearts, without reference to thier childish beliefs, they acted compassionately with thier fellows. More unconscious acts, perhaps, but results are not to be judged by the intentions that produced them or suffering will surely ensue. Jesus said "Judge not..." He wasn't kidding. Smart fellow.
