How hard would it be for a just God to punish the only innocent man for the rest if us who are arrogant and evil. Might we say He would be in anguish?

God's thoughts are far, far removed from the way we think and feel:

"'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' declares the LORD" Isa.55:8

Perhaps there's an approximation that can be estimated by attempting to look at it from God's eyes, but this is condemned in the book of Job as vain thinking.
