Is it good that genetic research is allowed?
Or maby we should make it go as slow as possible.

According to Jeremiah, it is humanity's destiny to have our DNA genetically engineered with animals (and by extension, artificial life). It is even seen as a blessing:

"Behold, the days come," saith the LORD, "that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beast." (Jer. 31:27)

In addition, God as the Creator of all life had made humanity in the image and likeness of the Creator (see Gen. 1:26, Gen. 5:1). By saying that, God was basically saying that humanity was now a creator of life. In fact, the same Hebrew words for image and likeness are used with Seth (Adam's son):

"And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth" (Gen. 5:3).

So, there you have it. From a scriptures perspective it is not only a biblical right for humans to engage in genetic engineering, it is a commandment to do so. Of course, it must be done with godly wisdom. That's something that will take a new era to acquire. After the new era, fantastic evolutionary changes are in store for humanity.
