It's perfectly possible to believe in both God and evolution. The problem that many fundamentalists have is that they have difficulty understanding a worldview that isn't religious or faith-based, so they call evolutionary theory a "religion," which it just plainly isn't. It's independent of religious thought. Is it incompatible with certain models of God? Sure, but so is the scientific theory describing the orbit of the earth around the sun. Apollo's Chariot is no more, and eventually the Six Days will follow. |
