Here's what I think of this issue (certainly not believe, but this kind of thing is fun to toy with.) Whenever two systems interact, both are irrevocably changed. Thus, if God had a want or desire (two characteristics I consider impossible in a "God," by the way) or an imperfection, his act of Creation [the universe] might be less a pet project and more an expulsion of his imperfections in an effort to purify himself, like God waking up in the morning and clearing his throat of clutter.
