Souls Evolve- What About The Root?

Glenn,

As you say, "There is no such thing as an 'unchanging self'". The whole point of rebirthing is to give the self or the soul or the root the opportunity to evolve in lifetime after lifetime, both physical lifetimes and later on purely spiritual lifetimes after enlightenment. Becoming enlightened is not the end of spiritual progress.

But besides all that, once again you have failed to answer my question. You provided scripture in the earlier post that says the the 'root' of an individual is passed from lifetime to lifetime. I asked you to explain, what this 'root' is, if it is not the soul. Yet nowhere in your huge discourse above does the word 'root' even appear.

Besides that I found your discussion of 'emptiness' to be empty. Your words are the apparition, not my body. Belief is the apparition. It's only reality is what it makes the body do. My body is real, but not unchanging, and my root will soon abandon it. My root is real but not unchanging, for it is destined to evolve no matter what I or you believe.

Richard
