I liked the first part about sexless flying about in light bodies of light. In Buddhism it seems that food is the ban of our existence. Funny that in Zen Macrobiotics, a form of Buddhism, it is said that you are what you eat and if you eat right you will become enlightened. What I have noticed is that people on such diets look like they are light, if not enlightened. But when you talk to them, their words reveal inner coarseness.

Meditation seems to achieve the same results regarding lightness of being without the coarseness.
