Hi everyone,

Im new around here; really happy i found a
great astronomy site.

Just wanted to know what people though about
relativity's local time dilation when travelling at great speeds, close to c. My feeling is that this could be an indicator that higher intelligence was almost pre planned, within the known physics model. We do not need warp drives
to one day colonise the cosmos, because future
propulsion, shielding, nanotechnology, genetic
engineering, and of course the time dilation
short cut makes it very feasible without.

I cannot see how time dilation is necessary
in the physics model, unless it is there to
specifically allow living things to travel huge distances in light years without getting much older.Also consider the exponential factor, the farther you travel, the shorter time it takes in
proportion. So whereas, time travel backwards
is paradoxical, time travel forwards in a relative
sense is not.

Ok, Im not a scientist, so maybe some of my
facts are slightly off, but does anyone agree
with this idea that time dilation is just too
coinicdental in a chaotic universe?
