This is a warm-up conversation -- we aren't judged by how right we are, are we?
If consciousness is unique, on Earth, to humans (proceeding from the advantage of our cerebral cortex's 10,000 miles of neurons, plus other uniquely well-developed cooperating lobes of the brain), then there is still the
need to evaluate how the human being uses that brain in ways which are, or are not,
distinctly different from nature's installments of life's self-serving faculties
in its life units.
But maybe we are not conscious at all, unless we use the machine in a particular way, to play "the lost chord" or something.
Will you mention some of Kant's thinking on consciousness and I can look up a link to read it online?
