This essay is on the work of Ray Kurzwiel who is famed for developing speech recognition and for writing books that predicted the future of computers. He started several companies. One of his companies used corrupt practices and its President is still in jail. Ray was Chairman of the Board and somehow escaped prosecution.

The point of Ray's latest book, besides extensively exemplifying how his previous predictions were true, is that computers will take over the world. Turning that situation into a caring Computer God is quite a reach.
