Non-sequiturs Harv?

Hi Harv,

you have not shown that your use of the term "illness" is anything but metaphor.

If psychiatrists believe that "mental illnesses" are just "brain diseases not yet discovered"; then for the sake of clarity they should call them "postulated brain diseases for which we have no patho-physiological evidence".

Secondly, suffering from a physical disease does not on its own morally justify interventions called "treatment"; only consent does in a free society. Anything else is assault and battery.

If someone dislikes your facial appearance; to coercively re-arrange your face by cosmetic medicine would be assault. Same applies to coercively trying to re-arrange someone's dissaproved-of emotions; to assault someone is to assault them.

How do you know someone is "shizophrenic"? You would have to get a psychiatrist to try and see if they could fit them to a list of behaviours forbidden by psychiatrists. It is not a medical diagnosis, it is a witch-hunt.

Looks like the Taleban identifying Kite-flyers! But more sophisticated so easier to deceive people?

Quote: "a lot like Alan in so many ways (e.g., an infatuation with his knowledge as an infant, emphasis on bizarre thought, etc)."

Are you kidding Harv?

You are making rules like a dictator?

Rule: thou shalt not be what Harv calls "infatuation with knowledge as an infant"

Rule: thou shalt not have what Harv calls "empasis on bizarre thought, etc."

Why should I or anyone on this forum obey you?

These are not "symptoms of mental-illness"; they are alleged violations of rules of behaviour.

You keep making a non-sequitur; you assume so-called "mental" illnesses are real; when the evidence in patho-physiology texts shows it is wishful thinking by psychiatrists.

And also the "treatment" of real physical illnesses is not justified unles someone wants it; in a free society we do not have to be dictated to by someone's view as to how they operate their body! Any agreements on body standards must be freely entered into by subscribers, in a free society.

Harv; if you were RATIONAL (open to argument)
surely you would adress the content of my posts more and not focus on attacking me with labels?

Think about it.

Merry Christmas,

Alan
