And one more question may be, is there anything else than particles. If there are small particles like axions and quantum foam with a lot of temporary particles, so why light may not just jump from particle to particle if all this is distributed more or less equally. Speed of light is greater in some substances, maybe because the particles there are entangled. Or what the physicists here think?
