There is no outer boundary. It just comes back on itself. Like the 2-d surfce of a sphere- only it`s 3-d. At the same time new pieces of similar but separate space-times are being created inside sufficiently massive black holes.

Space on the average is flat, but contains wrinkles in the vicinity of mass. It is so wrinkled in the vicinity of black holes that time is converted into the radial coordinate of the black hole within its horizon.

Like an electron inside an atom, time is trapped inside the horizon, but free outside the horizon.
Free for what. Why it`s free to increase. Inside the horizon it can only decrease, and therefore time and space itself in constantly being absorbed by the black hole. At the horizon space-time is being absorbed at the speed of light. Tha`s why light cannot escape a black hole. relative to the relatively stationary horizon in our frame of reference, space-time is being absorbed faster than the speed of light within the horizon.

Where does all this space-time go within the black hole horizon. It goes into the singularity which in actuality is a membrane -a surface of phase change- which destroys the incoming mass. Within the membrane is a 26-d vacuum from which, according to Brian Greene and Smolin, baby universes are born. So in this scientific context, what is the Word?

Can someone help me understand the concept of the Word? In the beginning was the word. Sounds like the word was everything, or was it just a formula that determines how the baby universe grows and perhaps develops consciousness. Does anyone know what John meant by the word Word? Language? Information? Physical laws?
