Theology's "ends", and teleology's "ends," and the periods at the end of your sentences are similar but also different. If we leave it all up to a "God" who ostensibly works through our civil or religious leaders, we are neglecting
our own minds, which apparently were "provided" so we could use them. "Faith" could occur even in an atmosphere of dispute, conversational divergence, and argument -- do you agree?
