Those must have been some noisy gasses!
The point about navigation, religion and astronomy being inextricably linked --
I would like to agree but for the sake of argument, how about if we say that only in astronomy is there very little ancient foolery to clutter up the accuracy of our conversation
-- okay, let in navigation, too. It would be nice to have an accurate religion for spaceship earth...if we could admit we the masses don't know a few particular things that currently we are asked to say we DO know...
A navigation religion would be a nice adjunct to the construction religion. Where the Masons have a big G and carpentry symbols, would Navigation have some tools in its display too?

To complement the Great Architect of the Universe, what is the Navigation God called?
Is (s(h)e second in command to the Pilot?
