String Theory Explains EPR

Hi Tarv,

Another explanation of EPR is string theory where particles can only be created in ten dimensions. So when a particle pair is produced at one point, and the particle and the anti-particle fly off in opposite directions, but they remain connected in the six compactified dimensions.

The six compactified become a thread in 3-d space from one particle to the other. So in 10-d the two remain one, until a measurement is made, which breaks the thread.

I think that axions precipatate into 3-d space from the broken thread. But that's another story.

Richard

PS: Non-locality may be necessary for consciousness. I do not know the sufficient conditions. But the one condition I think is absolutely necessary is a medium is which it can happen. Most say that's the brain. But considering that consciousness can be non-local, which BTW is not proven scientifically, the medium must be a non-local medium and undetectable as well, like the thread. But since 3-d extent is necessary for thinking, a BEC is more appropriate. A bec has other useful properties like being frictionless. So it apply to the supernatural. And since it must have location and be undetectable, it seems to be like Dark Matter. So I just suggested a model of Dark Matter.
