Since Yanniru could not demonstrate the absence of anything by showing that he himself does not know of it.
As the Father of Modern Chemistry Antoine Lavoisier wrote,"It is impossible to separate science from language or language from science."

Uncareful word choice ruins many a construct if
rigor is being implied. It appears Yanniru is implying rigor but not choosing his words carefully. There seems little point in arguing with him, since what he said is indefensible on the face of it.
