let me just say that being consistent to our beliefs is the goal. If we are not, then we are not. But, never take your eye off the goal

I don't know about you, but I have a more serious problem. Before I can be consistent with my beliefs, I first have to find a consistent set of beliefs. For instance, I have a deep respect for all forms of life, but I also believe I deserve to eat meat once in a while. My respect for life comes from the heart; my belief that there's nothing wrong in eating meat comes from the observation that many animals do it. Yet something doesn't make sense and I'm not sure why.

There's lots of stuff like that, but the subject can spawn another thread.
