The 'born again' churches did not participate. I am not sure why, but I would guess based on what I read on this forum that good works are not important in that type of church.

Their good works are defined more narrowly within a context of obedience. I have not
found the world is successfully healed by any of the
churches or other religions, in part because they fritter away,
in a minute-to-minute way, an essential part of the chance save the world through
technical earnestness in arts, technology
and communications.
Religion is precisely the repetition of
old formulae. There's good in that but also
it tends toward waste.
