As far as our genes are concerned, we can believe that the universe is driven by an overweight fairy on a green cheese bicycle provided that such belief effectively coerces us into adopting genetically advantageous behavior

One could just as well say:

As far as the fairy on a green cheese bicycle is concerned, we can believe that men are driven by microscopic DNA particles, provided that such belief effectively coerces us into adopting behavior that is advantageous to the fairy on a green cheese bicycle.

So, is it fairy, DNA, or should we ask ourselves what is the use of all this nonsense?
