RE: * I suggest that it is blasphemy for you to suggest that baptism by water is unnecessary *

I take your suggestion and refer you to the reasoning.
(i.e. stumblingblock)http://whitestonepublishing.org/water_baptism.doc)

What is blasphemy ?
Is it not contradicting what God has taught you ?

Yes. It("water" baptism) was apparently necessary for Jesus BECAUSE of us.

Yes, Jesus did many "examples" that we, who are slow learners, might have the pattern laid out so clearly before us so that we could only mess up our own comprehension of it a few times before understanding it correctly.

I did not say you "individually" should not get baptized with water. I am saying it is a "personal" choice that one should make in that person's walk with the Lord. (i.e., following the leading of the Holy Spirit).

My best to you, Eric
