"Since antiquity, humans have wondered whether our universe is finite or infinite. Now, after more than two millennia of speculation, observational data might finally settle the ancient question"

Anyone who thinks this question can be settled does not understand what they are talking about. No matter how you look at the universe, it will always appear finite. No matter how you think about the universe, it will always appear infinite. "Observational data" will always conflict with speculation and there's no way to "settle the question". Those researchers should stop wasting time and money with foolishness and get a life!
