i remmember using the Shrodinger equation to treat particles, a particle in a box, the hydrogen atom and i think helium was as far as we got. it was horrifically complicated trying to figure out how to treat just hydrogen with the Shrodinger equation. but your right even though we treat particles with the equation it is essentially a wave equation. weird...
