i'd say Dick and Einstein refer to reality as defined below:

definition of reality

: the quality or state of being real

definitions of real

: not artificial, fraudulent, illusory, or apparent ;

: existing as a physical entity and having properties that deviate from an
ideal, law, or standard

can you find any other definitions in a dictionary that more logically fit what you think Einstein and Dr. Dick are referring to?
