Hi Aurino,

"You probably don't realize this but I always find it ironic that you think we are in agreement when, at least from my perspective, that is far from being the case."

You are right: we do disagree. I disagree with your sentence above. In fact I do realize that you find it ironic. So we disagree on that issue. And I find it ironic that you find it ironic. I think that's what's so ironic.

What I tried to imply with my goofy title is that after you and I have a substantial discussion in which we seem to have violent disagreements, we settle down to look at the significant issues and we discover that we are in agreement on what is important. Our disagreements have always turned out to be in some inconsequential or silly fringe around the discussion. My previous paragraph is a typical example. Your sentence

"In the end you are right, Harv does have something to learn from you."

is another good example. We each backed away from our original positions on this issue and admitted that the other was right. We have now exchanged positions, although I don't think either one of us has changed how we basically feel. We have agreed all along whether we admit it or not.

As I said a long time ago, we have to scrape down pretty deeply at the bottom of the barrel in order to find something to argue about. It's still fun talking to you, though, even though we think pretty much alike.

Warm regards,

Paul
